Sculpsure , also known as Warmsculpting, can be used to reduce areas of fat on your body which are resistant to diet and exercise efforts. Sculpsure, or Warmsculpting, is a non-invasive procedure using a 1060 nm wavelength laser which is able to selectively target fat under the skin, heat it to a temperature that causes the fat cells to die and all the while leaving unharmed nerves, blood vessels and skin. One advantage of Sculpsure compared to Coolsculpting, which uses cold energy to destroy fat cells, is the the added benefit of heat stimulating collagen and elastic fiber growth for tighter skin in the treatment area. In our practice, we often combine Sculpsure or Warmsculpting with Coolsculpting, where we might begin with Coolsculpting if the area is a bit larger and perform Sculpsure or Warmsculpting for subsequent treatments to the same area.
Sculpsure/Warmsculpting is a laser treatment that uses heat technology to treat fat cells anywhere on the body. Unlike Coolsculpting, the treatment does not require one to have pinchable fat and hence allows for more customized sculpting and treatment designs. By heating these fat cells to a certain temperature, the laser causes the fat cells to die, which your body will then gradually eliminate over the next 12 weeks. Each Sculpsure / Warmsculpting procedure has been shown to reduce 24-25% of fat cells in a treatment area. Some patients will loose less and others will loose more than this percentage of fat cells. For some patients, a single treatment will be enough, while others may benefit from 2 or more sessions to achieve their ideal results.

Sculpsure / Warmsculpting treatments takes anywhere from 25 minutes or more depending on how many areas are being treated during your visit. It takes 25 minutes to complete 4 cell phone sized applicators at once. In 25 minutes, we can generally treat either a lower stomach or entire stomach, chin, love handles, inner thighs, arms, or outer thighs. Treatment times are faster for Sculpsure / Warmsculpting compared to Coolsculpting. This makes it very convenient should you choose to have your treatment done over your lunch break so you can return to work quicker.
Your Sculpsure treatment by design will be felt. The treatment causes heating of the fat cells, which will be felt. One might notice some mild cramping along with heat and cold in cycles. The aim is to keep the procedure as comfortable as possible, and as such patient feedback during the procedure is carefully monitored. The energy level is adjusted accordingly to achieve maximum benefit with maximum comfort. Some patients find the heat more uncomfortable than others and adjustments accordingly are made to keep the energy at the right level for fat loss in each individual.
How many Sculpsure or Warmsculpting treatments you need to the same area depends on how much fat is present. If you have just a little bulge of fat to reduce, you may only need one Sculpsure / Warmsculpting treatment but if you have more layers of fat to get through, you may need more than one treatment.
While individual results will vary, you should expect a significant amount of fat reduction as shown in the photos above. Usually 24-25% of fat cells are reduced in a single treatment and more fat loss can be seen with additional treatments.
Results from Sculpsure / Warmsculpting in the treatment area can be seen gradually over time from six weeks to 3 months. This is the time it takes for your body to eliminate the dead fat cells from your body.
Sculpsure / Warmsculpting results will last permanently as the fat cells that are treated during the procedure are permanently killed. If there is an alteration in lifestyle or your health, your existing fat cells could grow larger and in rare instances, you might even make new fat cells. However, as long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle, the results from Sculpsure / Warmsculpting can be expected to be permanent.
During the Sculpsure / Warmsculpting procedure you will feel a strong warm sensation and some mild cramping. Once the procedure is completed, these symptoms disappear immediately. One might experience some mild temporary swelling, bruising, redness, or tenderness in the treatment area afterwards. Most of these symptoms disappear within a few hours though some can persist for a few days. There is no restriction after the procedure and one can resume all normal activities afterwards.
The Sculpsure cost / Warmsculpting depends on the number of cell phone sized laser applicators that need to be used. There are greater savings with purchasing more applicators at once. The Sculpsure cost / Warmsculpting is comparable to the cost of Coolsculpting in most cases, though in certain situations, either procedure may be less expensive.
