Keeley Baskin, DNP, APRN, FNP-C
Growing up I knew I always wanted to be a nurse. I had a desire to care for people at some of their lowest points. My second year as a nurse I started working at a pediatric dermatology clinic at LeBonheur Children’s hospital. It was there I found my real passion for nursing and push to further my education and become a nurse practitioner (NP).
From my time as a dermatology NP I realized the importance of skin lies further than the outward appearance. Skin conditions can affect your self-perception and self-esteem. My goal is to improve not only the skin conditions patients present to me with, but also improve the patient’s self-esteem.
Growing up I struggled with eczema, keratosis pilaris, and perioral dermatitis. I have felt the effects skin conditions can have on your self-esteem. I have struggled through improving all of those things while also improving my self-esteem. This is the reason behind my passion for dermatology.
I enjoy making connections with people and helping them achieve confidence in their own skin. I respectfully care for each patient as an individual and hope with that with treatments they will feel confident in their skin. I recognize each patient is everything in the world to someone, and I strive to treat them in such a manner.
